Nothing here is uploaded — the signature (and your logo, if you add one) is built entirely in your browser.

Who this is for

Any UK sole trader, tradesperson, freelancer or small business owner who wants their emails to look the part — plumbers, electricians, gardeners, cleaners, consultants, anyone. A clean signature with your name, trade, number and a link to your website turns every reply into a small advert, and makes you look established for the price of two minutes' work.

How do I add an HTML signature to Gmail or Outlook?

In Gmail: click the gear icon, choose See all settings, scroll to Signature, create a new one, then paste your copied signature into the box and save. In new Outlook and Outlook on the web: Settings → Mail → Compose and reply → Email signature, then paste. Use the Copy signature button above rather than the raw HTML — it puts the formatted version on your clipboard so it pastes in ready to go. If you'd rather work with the source, use Download HTML instead.

Why does my email signature look broken in Outlook?

Because email clients — Outlook especially — don't render modern CSS like flexbox, grid or floated divs the way a browser does. Outlook uses Word's rendering engine, which quietly ignores a lot of layout CSS and leaves you with a jumbled mess. The fix is old-school: lay the signature out in an HTML <table> and put every style inline on the element itself, not in a stylesheet. That's exactly how this tool builds your signature, which is why it holds together across Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail.

Should I put my logo in my email signature?

A logo can lift a signature, but only if it's done right. The classic mistake is linking to an image hosted somewhere — many clients block remote images by default, so recipients see a broken-image box instead of your brand. This tool's Pro logo option embeds the image directly into the signature so it always shows. Keep it small (a signature logo rarely needs to be more than about 120px wide) so it doesn't dominate your actual message.

Tip: a signature that links to a website only pays off if there's a decent site on the other end. A fast, tidy website that answers "can they do my job and how do I book them?" is exactly what BuildMeA builds for UK trades.

Does this tool store my details?

No. Everything — the signature, the preview and any logo you add — is built entirely in your browser. Nothing you type or upload is sent anywhere, so you can make as many signatures as you like.

Please note: this tool gives a guide or estimate only. It may not be 100% accurate and is not professional advice — always check the figures before you rely on them. Your name, contact details and any logo stay in your browser — nothing you enter here is uploaded or stored by us.
