When should I ring instead of texting or emailing?
If the job is large, urgent, or the customer has already replied to a message, a phone call moves things faster than another text. Use the written messages for the quiet gaps in between — they keep you front-of-mind without needing a slot in either of your diaries.
What is the .ics file for?
It's a standard calendar file. Open it on your phone or computer and it adds all three follow-up dates to your calendar, with the message text tucked into each reminder so it's ready to copy on the day. Works with Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook and virtually every calendar app.
Why not just discount in the follow-up?
