Building The Pre-Launch Buzz For A New Way To Find Local Sport

The Concept
The Brief: An Identity Before The Platform Exists
Local Sport Finder is a new idea: a simple way for people to find free, friendly sports meet-ups happening in parks and green spaces near them, with no club fees, no commitment, and no need to bring anyone along. The platform itself is still in development, but the idea needed somewhere to live and start building anticipation before launch.
The Approach: A Countdown Page With Its Own Match-Day Identity
Rather than a generic "coming soon" holding page, the countdown page borrows its visual language directly from the pitch: a halfway line, a centre circle, a deep turf-green backdrop, and a hi-vis accent colour lifted straight from training kit. Barlow Condensed headline type keeps it feeling like a fixture announcement rather than a software launch, and a subtle pulse animation on the kick-off line keeps the page feeling alive while the platform behind it is built.
What's Next
Local Sport Finder is currently pre-launch; this page is the first public marker of the idea while the full platform is built out. Watch this space.
