Who this is for
Any UK shop, studio, clinic, café or community group running an open day, workshop, pop-up, sale or one-off event who needs something to hand out or pin to a noticeboard without briefing a designer. Fill in the details, print a stack on plain paper, and you've got a flyer ready before the event date sneaks up on you. What actually makes a flyer get read?
A big, clear headline that says what's happening, a date and time nobody has to hunt for, and one sentence on why it's worth turning up. Everything else — logos, extra copy, small print — is secondary. If someone can't work out what, when and where in three seconds, the flyer has already failed.
Should I always list a price?
Yes, even if it's free. "Free entry" printed clearly removes the single biggest hesitation people have about turning up to something new. If there's a cost, state it plainly rather than making people ask — a flyer that hides the price reads as a flyer trying to sell you something.
