Who this is for

Any UK shop, café, salon, gym or trade business opening, re-opening after a refit, or changing hands under new management. A window poster is still the highest-attention, lowest-cost bit of marketing you can run — everyone who walks past reads it, for free, forever, until you take it down. This turns "get a poster made" into a ten-minute job: design it here, print it on plain A4, tape it in the window. Opening with a launch offer or a launch-day event? Pair it with the sale poster maker or the event flyer maker, and put the news on the pavement with the A-board sign maker.

What should a "Now Open" poster actually say?

Less than you think. The headline does the work of stopping someone walking past — keep it to two or three words. Everything else (what you sell, when, where) is secondary and should be readable at a glance, not read in full from the pavement. If someone stops to read your blurb, they've already decided to come in.

Tip: put the poster at eye height, on the door or the window nearest the pavement — not buried behind other window signage.

Should I include an opening offer?

If you can afford to, yes. "Free coffee for the first 50 customers" or "20% off this week only" gives someone a reason to come in today rather than "maybe another time" — which for a lot of passers-by means never. It doesn't need to be big; it needs to create a small, time-limited reason to act now.

How long should a Now Open poster stay up?

Two to four weeks is typical before it starts reading as old news. If you're re-opening under new management, keep a version up for longer — regulars who stopped coming because of a bad experience with the old owners need repeated reminders that things have changed.

Does this tool store my details?

No. Everything — the design, the print sheet and the PNG — is built entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded, saved or sent anywhere, so you can make and print as many posters as you like.

Please note: this tool gives a guide or estimate only. It may not be 100% accurate and is not professional advice — always check the figures before you rely on them. Your business name, poster wording and contact details stay in your browser — nothing you type here is uploaded or stored by us.
