1. What should the QR code do?

No need to type https:// — we add it for you.

Scanning this saves you straight into someone's phone contacts.

Scanning opens the phone's email app with these fields already filled in.

Scanning starts a call to this number.
Keep it dark on a light background so phone cameras read it reliably.

2. Download or print it

The PNG is high-resolution — fine for a flyer, sticker, van, poster or business card. Always test-scan it before you print a batch.

Your QR code appears here as you type.

Nothing here is uploaded — the QR code and PNG are built entirely in your browser.

Who this is for

Any UK business that wants to make it a one-tap job for a customer to visit a page, join the Wi-Fi, save your number or drop you an email. Trades putting a QR on the van or the invoice, cafés sharing the guest Wi-Fi, salons linking their booking page, market stalls pointing at a menu — paste your details, pick a type, download the PNG and print it wherever your customers are.

Do QR codes expire?

The QR codes this tool makes are static — the destination is baked into the pattern itself, so they never expire and never stop working. What can "break" a QR code is the thing it points at: if you print a code that links to a page and then delete or move that page, the code still scans but lands on a dead link. So the code is permanent; keep the destination alive and it'll keep working for years.

What's the difference between a static and dynamic QR code?

A static QR code (what you get here, free, with nothing to sign up for) encodes the destination directly — no middleman, no account, no monthly fee, and no way for anyone to track scans or switch the destination later. A dynamic QR code points at a short redirect URL you control, so you can change where it goes after printing and see scan stats — handy, but it relies on that redirect service staying online and usually costs a subscription. For most small businesses a static code pointing at a page you own is the simplest, most durable choice — and if you'd like that destination to be a proper page that actually converts the scan into an enquiry, that's the kind of thing we build.

Can I put a QR code on a business card, flyer or van?

Yes — that's exactly what it's for. A few rules of thumb keep it scannable: print it at least 2cm × 2cm (bigger for a van or poster viewed from a distance), leave a clear white margin around it (the "quiet zone"), keep it dark on a light background, and don't stretch or crop it. Always test-scan the finished print with a couple of different phones before you order a big run.

Does this tool store my details?

No. Everything — the QR pattern, the preview and the PNG — is generated entirely in your browser using JavaScript on this page. Nothing you type (a link, a Wi-Fi password, a contact card) is uploaded, saved or sent anywhere, so you can make as many codes as you like in complete privacy.

Please note: this tool gives a guide or estimate only. It may not be 100% accurate and is not professional advice — always check the figures before you rely on them. Everything you enter — links, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details — stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored by us.
